Macbook Pro echo/crackling/popping audio/sound issue MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018) High Sierra 10.13.6 (17G14033) Could it be an issue with the interface? 114 1 All my plug-ins are totally legit, purchased and licensed.I also tried increasing/decreasing the I/O Buffer Size but the problem persists.Any advice or ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.ThanksEDIT: As I suspected, but just confirmed, the audio seems delayed going in. ![]() Strange considering this is a brand new machine with literally nothing else installed, and I've been using a 2008 macbook with 4gigs of ram up to now without (too much) issue.I've looked around the forums and some people have had similar problems related to plug-ins being unverified, but even with a new project with no plug-ins I'm getting the same issue. Sounds as though my sound card cant process the audio. ![]() I checked the cable and similarly, thumb static registered visually but with no sound.I decided to try recording anyway, and it DID record, but when I played it back it was detuned half a semi-tone and distorted. I had been expecting a simple stereo out option but seems like it's the same.Anyway with the track record enabled, logic was visually registering input (the track lighting up in sync with my playing) but there was absolutely no output at all. Logic recognized my interface, Steinberg UR22mkII, and I selected Input 2 (where my guitar was) and output as "output 1 & 2", as the only alternatives were Bus or no output. Thanks!!īizarre Output Issue Hi Guys,Im a long-term logic 9 user, recently upgraded my set up.I bought an iMac 2018 21.5 inch model, Logic X and a bunch of software synths/plug ins.Komplete and midi works without issue. But when I tried Guitar Rig I noticed something strange. Here i was thinking all this new firepower with the M1 MBP would have me on cloud 9, but this is really a problem! Any help or guidance is MUCH appreciated. I was using a Presonus FireStudio with a 2012 and then a 2015 spec MBP for years without a single hiccup. I'm really stuck on this issue and it's killing me. I've tried setting the buffer as high as 512 and the problem still occurs, but this is higher than I'd like to go anyway! 256 is better for not having a ton of perceived latency. I assume it's a computer issue though, but I've also opened a help ticket with MOTU about this, but they are mostly ignoring me. ![]() I'm a long time logic user but this MacBook pro (16" 2020 spec) is new to me, as is the Interface (MOTU 8 pre ES). It has defintely ruined a couple of takes I've recorded with my band. Usually the outbursts will happen within the first 10 minutes of a session but there's no telling when they might happen and it will show up on any or all of the channels being recorded. It sounds like if you were to put the audio through a flanger and a bitcrusher or something. Phone: 49.341.994.02207 Email: note: MKH and MR contributed equally to this work.Hi guys! When I'm recording any number of tracks or just input enabling them and listening through the monitors everything will be going fine, but then a 1-2 second long burst of weird crackles and distortion will happen.
